Exclamation Graphics Issue

I am having an issue with my graphics for Everquest. The graphics seem to stagger and don't move very smoothly. Sometimes when I am walking my character's model will freeze up even though I am moving around. At first this was running fine when I initially installed the game, but after a month I started getting this. Not sure if a file is missing or missing an update or what.

This is what I have and let me know if you need anything else:

EQ typically doesn't like multiple cores. I always have to manually 'set affinity' to a single core after I have eqgame loaded.

Go to Multi/Dual/Quad-Core Issues for help.

Most people solve this problem by running WinEQ.

If you are using EQEmu you can go into its options and set eq to use only one core. It will stay that way for future play sessions as well.

Edit: Side note, eq really doesn't need more than one core, you won't run into issues.

Try opening up a really long youtube video, putting it on mute, and letting it run in the background.

I tried EQ on Win7 with tri-core, it played like crap even with option settings changed (I did not try WinEQ though).

Luckily, playing under Linux (using WINE) worked flawlessly and is not that difficult to set up.
