Default sol A activity

is there any reason why people avoid sol A on this server? it seems to have one of the larger xp mods and i remember back on fippy this zone was always packed... is there something i dont know? or is it just because there are other zones with slightly higher mods and not enough people to populate those zones + sol a? uguk seems pretty overcamped and so does unrest so i think sol A could probably be utilized more.

thoughts?

Runners + goblin shaman begins to cast a spell = your runner feels much better. Snare is a must. Most things see invis. Its just so much more of a hassle than ez-mode Unrest, Mistmoore, and Uguk.

I however really enjoy my back corner of Uguk where I solo on my pally. Fantastic EXP, easy to break now that I know the ropes, and plenty of mobs to keep me occupied. And completely uncontested, always.

Plenty of people are leveling in Solusek A. I don't know what your level is, but look up 'Razlo' - an half-elf bard, for he's often leading groups down there. He might soon outlevel the dungeon though :P

Mistmoore pond is just damn easy. No casters, lots of room for mistakes with runners. Guk top is also a great spot that sees groups, but unlike SolA you won't wizards there. The goblin wizards combined with close proximity groups and SoW'ed goblins mean you need a group that knows what it is doing.

And guess how much faith people have in one another [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

If you need a cleric for SolA, poke me on Tawa.

It's not so much the casters and runners (every dungeon has this); what makes SolA so much less desirable here as compared to live is the awful pathing. There are several places in the zone where if you pull a mob past, they'll start running down random hallways gathering a huge train. To effectively hunt in Sola, you need a puller who knows all the bad pathing areas so they know where to hold mobs' hands so they don't go running off to god knows where.

If the pathing wasn't so bad in Sola I'm sure more people would hunt there. I brought groups here a couple times and tried a few spots as I was leveling up, but people got quickly frustrated by all the trains just caused from pulling a mob or two back to the group.

bad pathing would explain why sol A was popular on progression servers but not here. is that just because of the coding done here? i dont think there were pathing issues on fippy

The few times I've leveled there the trains have made things... Difficult. Group wiped a few times due to dumb people training. Another problem is that unless its cleared, its difficult to get to camps since Many mobs see invis. Its a fun zone though...

Reasons people don't go to Runnyeye: runners, casters, bad pathing, all mobs are higher than level 20 therefore always aggro on you even if they are trivial, lava you can't escape from, and much easier places to hunt during those levels.

I leveled 10 levels there, but you gotta have a solid group and expect to train yourself a lot, the pathing is atrocious. Also, Runnyeye is not nearly as bad as everyone says, you just need to know the best spots to position your group. There's great loot, exp and virtually unlimited mobs there.

Hello Tawa! Yes i'm often in SolA euro evenings. Pathing is terrible in the zone, even if you know what you're doing you're going to train.

What level / class are you TommyG?
