New cleric

I've decided to make a cleric in an attempt immerse myself in the community/guild scene.
I only have a couple hundred plat I managed to farm on my Necro.


I assume that the most important thing to spend it on would be a main hand to help me get past the early solo levels. What is going to be the best choice?

There are quite a few that you could get around 200-300, but if you want to go a bit cheaper to have some extra plat for spells/whatever else. I'd get a Sharkbone Warhammer. 8/26 +5 wis, costs around 50-100 depending on the person.

Wraith Bone Hammer is really good starter weapon and is going to be cheap or free(if you are lucky). I was able to get almost 200 wis on my 21 cleric(My first character on the server) in under 2kplat. So there are deals to be had for some decent items if you are patient and use the wiki to gauge whether people are trying to rip you off.

He'll be quite resisty, think he's 35ish. Never tried him as a necro... might want a 40ish friend there just to make sure.

Pull him into the corridor to the zone, snare/fear, and the rest should be clockwork - he's definitely a caster so best done that way [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'll argue with it :P I thought the same thing when I was making an alt cleric, so I camped this with my bard. About 8 kills and a couple night cycles later, I just decided to say f-it and bought a Springwood Club. Unless you're feelin lucky (or it's possible I was unlucky) just farm a little plat and buy somethin. When you upgrade you'll atleast be able to resell.

Also, think about what you're lookin for in a weapon. If you just want a mana pool for grouping, then by all means look at +wis items. If you care about soloin some stuff, listen to liquid. Water Sprinkler of the Forgiven is also a decent ratio for a budget.
