Ways for a midlevel Rogue to make money?

So I just hit 35 and was wondering if there were any ways other than duoing with a generous necro on guards / erollisi sisters to make some decent plat? Looking to upgrade my weapons a bit more (Jade Chokidai Prod / Goblin Backstabber atm) after I farm some cash up and wondering how I can go about doing that.

Find someone who is fighting giants in rathe mountains. Sneak up to where they are pulling. Stand on the other side of the giant when they fight it. Pickpocket said giant.

Seems like kind of a dick move. Does it take away from the overall coin after the giant dies?

Yes. It's a major dick move that you probably won't get away with for very long, but it's something I've always wanted to do on a rogue.

Alternatively, you can try to get in at a good item camp and make money a bit at a time.

As annoying as it sounds just level. Leveling to 50+ is the only time you will really start to make money.

If you insist on farming for money you can try one of the more annoying low level camps like fishbone earring or glowing black stone

Hadden's 29 I believe, so if you have good gear and don't mind sitting around for 3-ish hours to make sure you get the camp, you can probably down him easy enough? Assuming you get lucky, anyways.

Edit: So close.

Edit again: You'll make more money in the same amount of time by leveling a Druid, camping Sisters 12-20 and porting at 29 than sitting around waiting for Hadden or Pyzjin in all likelihood.

It is a dick move and probably against the rules along the lines of KSing someone's mob. Not to mention uncool on a blue server, in particular.

That being said, one of the great joys of being a rogue is during that downtime when you are LFG or don't want to group and can't really solo, remember the old adage...Idle hands are the devils workshop!

Get a sow and head down to RM and don't pick mobs people are killing....Just all the ones no one is killing. Hide/sneak + sow = run around and pick everything clean. You can do this anywhere you can think of that has good cash drops. The next people to get there probably won't be too happy that all the mobs are broke, but that's not your problem. They can start killing and get fresh mobs if they want. You don't have that option, solo.

If memory serves (played rogue main live for like 6 years) you can pick gems too. Back in the day, you could even pick kunark spells before they flagged them as MAGIC items to keep that from happening. I don't play a rogue here so not sure what the situation is here with that, but you get the idea.

This is super fun to do on the giants in velious, too, when we get there....As you get higher level and your hide/sneak speed goes up + sow you can just run around and clean everything out on your way to meet groups.

The other option is to find an area with a bunch of greenies that drop loads of crap vendor loot with a vendor nearby and just mow wheat, fill your bags, run sell, rinse, repeat. Sol A and Permafrost come to mind at your level, I would think.

Peekae makes a great point, also. Level > All and, honestly, as a rogue all you really NEED are the best weapons you can get and a haste item...Even mediocre weapons do great dmg mid levels in your hands (rogue dmg table) so don't kill yourself sweating a particular poker now. Everything else is icing....Keep levelling and if you want to farm vendor crap, do item camps, or what I described it will all be much much easlier. Plus the higher up you get the better potential drops your groups will be getting which you will get a chance to /random for and you will be making cash along the way that will eventually add up to the new poker you are looking to buy, anyway.

Yes just level up. Gear will flow to you. Just keep on the grind. All you need a good main hand. Start working on epic 40+ here and there. Most of it is easy to obtain.
