Default Resurrecting / increasing the server pop

Okay it might not be totally dead, but to me it was.

Personally, i think the servers ruleset is allrite now that xp loss is gone. People are working with Nilbog on fixing issues.

Why i got excited about a wipe is that a new FFA server, a wipe, might have attracted numbers again. But it looks like a 300% xp bonus can do the same. I dont care how the server gets resurrected, I just wanted the server to reach numbers where its fun for me (and others who are not the hardcore PVEers who will stick with a 30-50 player box) to play on it.

At 120 ish i didnt feel like logging in... last night it was 160, i logged in for the first time in 3 months and then i realized the nice xp bonus that was on. This could have a snowball effect and resurrect the server as it climbs past 200 and makes log in other people who like me, didnt want to play on a dead server.

Really all i care is we find a way to get the critical mass thats enough to attract even more people. I think if wed break 225-250 wed start seeing something really nice happening.

Then wed have to convince Rogean not to touch the xp bonus for a long while till server hits a 500+ stable population.

I dont see whats so bad in letting players having MAYBE 2-3 60s instead of 1? I played alot and my highest characters are a 57 shaman (which should be 60 though, had a deathloop incident) and a 30 chanter...

Then you just add custom events here and there and i think its as simple as that, we would have a populated pvp server.

The only way this server is going to hit 200+ pop is if one of the following happens:

1) Boxing is allowed
2) Velious is released
3) Server is wiped
Well if Rogean doesnt touch xp for a while we will find out. Seems to me we had a nice jump in pop.

I havent logged in the box like i said for 3 months, and i got interested in finishing my shaman to 60 again because of bonus. Its only been like 2 days since xp bonus is on, word gotta get around.

Experience is too fast for beginning players! I've zoomed through the earliest levels so fast I made no cash to buy even 1 spell from my next spell set, and the only armor I have is the beginning tunic, no cash to even buy 1 piece of cloth armor. I can't even afford my first backpack! About to log in and see if I can even kill blue mobs anymore with only a handful of lvl 1 spells and no armor.

So while the exp bonus may bump the pop up temporarily, soon as they get to a level where they can't even kill blue mobs anymore I bet they quit, which will come very fast. Wrong solution to the server pop problem.

And no, I don't want any handouts or twinkage at all, not even a few plat. I like earning my own way, or it isn't really mine.

No shit Sherlock. New to the server doesn't mean new to EQ, guess you hadn't thought of that, lol. But there are none I've seen in this zone.

Who cares about buying level 1 spells or cloth armor. This server isn't going to flourish catering to bitch problems like this.

You want to trade an extra 10 hours per level down the road for forced grinding on rats for rat whiskers to purchase a damn cloth cap now?
