Default Stickmaking Thread

Any of you do this?
This is my first real attempt at turning a grown stick into something nice.

I plan on filling the large check on the back of the head, which I've been told should not get any bigger. This is peach wood finished in 600 grit and Emmet's Good Stuff.

Dude, you've got wood...

But really, looks cool. Don't do it myself but I notice people in the hills here in Colorado always have these homemade/handmade walking sticks. Some seem pretty legit.

This one is very heavy, with a burl at the tip making it probably the hardest part of the whole stick, and can be 2 hand swung like an axe very nicely, so even if you don't have any stickfighting skill, it's a beast of a weapon.
