Spells: Druid 59 Spell Wildfire

Well I know this one got changed and the thread about the damage change was here

however there is no mention why exactly the spell still has a 6.5 sec cast time compared to the 5.8 cast time listed on our wiki (http://wiki.project1999.com/Wildfire) as well as

Nizzarr's lil blurb ( page one from the first bug thread I linked )he found :

You can see a talk about wildfire. It should be 1024 damage, 320 mana -- its currently 1144(at 59, not sure @ 60) and 375 mana.

(L57) frost, cold, 762/250, 6/2.5,
3.04 ratio, 89.6 dps
(L60) wildfire, fire, 1024/320, 5.8/2.7,
3.2 ratio, 120.4 dps

he says it still should be 6.5 casting time here but no reason why even though theres evidence having a 5.8 cast time......

can we get some clarification on this ?

The public wiki is riddled with errors and can't be referenced as evidence for anything. A Velious-era (8/2001) spdat shows the following details for Wildfire, which coincides with other archived sources:

Wildfire

Decrease Hit Points (HP) by 1024 (L59)

Classes: Dru (L59)
Skill: Evocation
Allowable Targets: All
Range to Target: 200 feet
Resistance Check: Fire
Mana Required: 320
Spell Duration: Instant
Casting Time: 6.50 seconds
Spell Recovery: 3.0 seconds
Spell cast on you: Your skin ignites as wildfire courses over your body.
Spell cast on someone: Soandso's skin ignites as wildfire courses over them.
