Default Just found out about Project 1999...

Is this an actual playable server of the classic EQ? SERIOUSLY?! OMG, first MMORP I ever played, met my best friend and other RL friends that I still keep in contact with. This game was the best [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] SO many great, horrific, funny memories.

Where can I DL a copy of the classic to start playing?! Ugh, I think I have every disk of every game I've purchased but finding my classic EQ disks might be impossible LOL. I'm too old and memory is fading.

quick facts:
Played on Fennin Ro for 3+ years
Female Erud Wiz
A couple of guilds
Husband: Geneyus Nytefrost
Friends: Phedrus, Bortas, Niobe, Eashan, Tahnlu, and SO many more I can't even remember the names of.
Best memory: Getting my first FBR
Worst memory: Camping aviaks for what seemed like MONTHS to level and the longass run for corpse recovery about 200 times because of trains.
Funniest memory: Going back to Crushbone and AEing every damn thing I saw... and dying because I AE'd myself inside the caves at like lvl 40.

I hope there are a few of my old guildies and friends still around [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Lyra will be along to assist you where you can get a copy of titanium but after you do goto this post to get it installed properly: http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...13&postcount=3

Welcome back to your beginnings and have fun along the way. Try not to pay attention to the whackos on forums too much [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Thanks Thulack! I can't wait!! Really was one of the best times I ever had playing this game... even as difficult and frustrating as it was, no other game has ever measured up. They all seem so easy and kid proofed LOL.

So I went back and reviewed EQ Tit. Ed. Requirements and laughed myself silly. I can remember getting new machines TWICE just to be able to play EQ and my friggin laptop can play this easily now. Just too funny, but nice I can play on the Laptop :P
