Str is easy to get, but my only contention with that is that a high strength race can run around in resist/hp gear all the time without bothering with strength - or can reach cap strength without outside buffs with minimal effort.

That's not to say gnome wouldn't do just fine as a rogue. It will. Just saying a high str race still deserves some consideration.

Thanks again for the help. I will make a gnome :-) just didn't want to be super weak. So put all starting points in str?

I believe some would still tell you to put points in STA, but personally if I made a gnome it would be str.

I played a Barbarian Rogue to 60 here.
5 points in STR, rest in STA.

I'm able to maintain ~200STR and ~150MR with a few HP items in my DPS gear. It's pretty nice.
Even gearing into PR or full MR I could still hit 255STR with raid buffs.
Keep in mind at level 60 you only need 183STR to hit 255STR w/ Shaman buffs.

Mrylo vambraces work in a pinch for STR buffs too.

Just please.. PLEASE do not go Halfling. Halfling Rogues are a plague on the face of Norrath.

/agree. I was going to say that on my barb rogue i only have to wear a few pieces of Str gear and then the rest is HP/resists for raiding. Not having high resists will be the only downfall of a gnome rogue.
