Default Colors/Screen haywire with EQ

So, I will start this off by saying that I don't have a high end computer that I play on. The problem that I am having is that once I leave the desktop and start up everquest. My laptop monitor goes brighter, and I don't get the same color saturation as I would without Everquest running. Hard to explain it exactly, but the screen is brighter and just doesn't look right. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this?

If I close out of EQ and restart computer then the colors on the display revert back to a much better appearance, thoughts?

I had the issue a long while ago. I really don't know how it fixed itself. I am guessing I had updated drivers. With mine the Gamma would get very bright, and then get stuck that way. Sounds like the same issue.

I run a Geforce GTX 460v2 at 1920x 1080. Driver 311.06.

Not sure if that info will help at all. Hope it does.

I've had this problem since, well forever. In my case my computer uses everquest's gamma settings for some reason so if I turn my EQ gamma down to about 20 ish everything looks normal. Also if I /q out of eq my computer keeps the settings until I restart but camping out and exiting normal fixes it.
