Cool

Option 3 for me. Altho I did end up playing hardcore for a while with TMO, I found out I really just enjoyed helping low lvl players new to the game more than anything.

Oh and to make the monk I always wanted to be on live [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Voted hardcore cus I was a newb in classic. The reason why I still play is because I have 0 time to invest in another game to start over again.

On classic EQ, I was a casual player. I never got to see mobs like Trakanon, Tunare, AoW. I did, however, see CT, VS, and some ToV.

I started my emulator experience on PEQ server, but it was too easy and non-classic. It was all about 3-boxing (not much social or raiding stuff going on). If there was a raid, it was PoP.

On P99, I expected to raid without much trouble, and not have to dedicate myself to it hardcore. Because P99 is a small, free server, I expected that I could get to take down bosses that I had never had the opportunity before.

I still expect that.

Your poll doesn't account for first-time EQ players.

I wanted to play EQ... for free... doing whatever the heck I wanted (iow, not fettered by guild bullshit), and P99 seemed like they had their shit together more than the rest of the Emus.

nostalgia, and to play a slower pace game with real risk and actual socialization outside of your immediate guild. current mmo's have the formula wrong.
