WTB Chardok Pipe MQ and need some info plz!

Hey guys, I am a casual playing 51 monk trying to finally finish up my Robe of the Whistling Fists so I can progress towards my epic! I am currently grinding it out and saving up for a chardok pipe. Trying to find a realistic price range for it.

Would I have better luck at getting a discount if I am in Chardok zone advertising for loot rights on whoever wins the /ran rather than a MQ sale in EC? trying to be thrifty because I am a poor monk!

any replies on average price in EC and/or how much pp I should bring in hand before I head into Chardok to try to buy loot rights would be appreciated!

go to chardok with like 8k worth of gems and loot it yourself from an AE group.
