Default Fungi Contest.

I'd like to do a fungi contest here's my idea.

25 players 5k buy in.
Everyone makes a level 1 human warrior and registers the name.
Any assistance/buffs or any help during duels is an auto disqualification.
Winner takes the Fungi.
All bets are to be paid on the day of the contest. (Sign-ups can be made until Jan 30th, Contest is Feb 1st 8:00pm EST)

Other ideas to help keep this fair:
All spectators should be level 1
Anyone trying to rig/grief the contest, does so at the risk of his own reputation and the reputation of his guild. (Not much I can do about this without a GM over seeing the contest)
Everyone makes a FRESH level one at the time of the contest. (To help avoid people from leveling up any skills.)
When the event starts, everyone will be given a TAG that must be used on their New Level 1 Human Warrior. (For Example CLtookie) the TAG will be made up on the day of the event, and will be chosen by the consensus of all betters. (This helps ensure that all characters are New, and that I did not give out the TAG before the contest started)
Other idea is to make it auto attack only (no skills)

If you have any other ideas to help keep it fair, comment please.

Also if anyone can point me in the right direction on how I go about asking a GM to oversee the contest to prevent people trying to rig/grief it let me know. I would also like a GM to hold onto Fungi when the contest starts, so everyone knows that the winner will get the Fungi.

So 25 person FFA? You'll have people not engaging anyone, just running circles.

/ran if you want it to be fair

Not free for all.. 1 on 1 bracket system.
I do offer the Fungi Random which is a /random 1000 game but I'm trying to do something different and fun for people.

I could do 5k a ticket 25 players, /random 1-25. If your number hits you win... but thats not as fun.

Sounds fun, if I had the money to waste.

One additional rule/thought to consider...make sure everyone is fresh, dont need a level one that grinded a few snakes to get his melee/kick up!

I've always liked the naked (and perhaps drunken) races across Norrath. Halas to Freeport, or even to Felwithe/Steamfont if you want to add in the luck of catching the boat at the right moment. No outside buffing or porting allowed. Your choice on if you'd allow binding. I like the idea of deciding if you should wait around and try to get a free bind, or just keep going.

Players can choose to stop and fight to try and gain a few levels or some cloth gear- and perhaps a slightly better chance of survival, or just start running.

Little tough to police but somewhat obvious if they try to put on any twinking gear to survive the trip. If you can get a couple people to help you out you could run along with the front of the race, have someone in the middle, and another player at the end attempting to see if anyone's breaking the rules.

I like this idea. I'd be more than willing to set something like this up, if I can get the help of other players I trust to help oversee the race. 1v1 Duels is a bit easier to moderate players from cheating.

sounds fun and something id like to get in on, but pls not a lvl 1 naked race, those have already been done enough. I like the duel idea better.

The worst is being on the winning end and then a decaying skeleton runs by and knocks your shit sideways.
