WTB What to buy?

I played Everquest in the past but didn't make it very far and I am not very knowledgeable of which items are of good value and would be the best bang for the buck. I am hoping some one who is would help guide me to what I should try to purchase for a rogue.

I have a friend that recently got me back into Proj99 to give it another shot with a little pocket money to get started 3,000plat. I was thinking a weapon would be the best purchase. What would you guys recommend I search for to get my rogue started? Thanks!
