Default Druid , Raptor Kiting Questions

1. Are these bugged ATM and can it be done ? I had heard something about their movement speed was bugged.

2. Can this be done at lvl 53 ?

3. Can Lumi staff be used or is it too slow ?

4. I don't have egress yet , is this a must ?

5. Any general tips would be appreciated , for some reason I am scared about doing this.

6. ANy place better to quad at 53 ?

1. They are currently way too fast can be done once u have them snared with your lightning ae but have just enough time to cast it and run, so any lag and ur probably going to die.
2. Can be done at 53 if u have the mana pool.
3. Lumi staff will be too slow to get the spell off with current speed on raptors, once speed is fixed u can cast from max range. You won't want too fully kill them with lumi tho like the spirocs will take way too long, burn ur mana then finish with staff click if needed once speed is fixed.
4. I had no problems without egress prior to run speed bug.
5. Just learn the area always wait on the pathers and pull those first then gather the rest of your quad, simple area once you get a feel for it and once speed is fixed.
6. This spot is best quad exp wise but u may be better off just going to DL or frost giants until speed is fixed.

Sounds like it is not viable until Raptor speed is fixed then.

Has anyone charmed bear pit at 53 ?

I need a viable exp option to 55.

Can you eloborate more about frost giants and DL please ?

You can kill giants outside permafrost in everfrost or quad mobs in DL near kc, just find 4 ravishing drolvargs group them up and quad on kc wall easily. I didn't do bear pits until 55, it should be possible at 53 tho will probably just have more charm breaks and such.

As a cleric I think one of my biggest callouts was to TD. "whereabouts?"

"raptor island" [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I ended up doing Frost Giants last night , it sucked because there were only three.

Gave me 3% a round @ lvl 53.

I don't know where the bear pit is , if I get courageous I may go exploring and give that a shot tonight and let you guys know.

Bear pits are the north west section of zone.

If you look at that map, and see the 3 squares with X's in the center. Those are the 3 areas that have fake floors, allowing you to drop down into the bear pits.

Bind outside, load Ensnare and gate. You are about to get into bear pits solo.

You start just north of #3 on the map.
Head west.
At #2 there are 2 Ice Giants. Ensnare them. If you can't stick it run out into room #3 and keep trying, heal as needed gate if necessary.
Once both are snared, run to room #10. Wait a bit, about a minute, or whenever you see ice giant feet popping through the floor and gate.

This will stick those giants back out of your way for 5-10minutes. Sometimes they warp back earlier, but it's usually pretty reliable if you stuck Ensnare.

Start back at #3 on map, (be invis) go west and hug right. You will pass a giant spider, they should not see invis. When that path ends (basically right after the spider) you can turn left or right. You want to go right, doing basically a hairpin turn.

You should find yourself face to face with an ice giant magi.

You have two options.

1. Same strategy as before, ensnare, run to back of zone, and gate.
2. Root him, run straight through him (you will want levitate on) and you will go slightly up a ramp that looks like it will force you to turn left, in actuality you will fall through to floor. Invis yourself and camp. Praying that root doesn't break in 30s.

When you log back in you'll be in a room with 3-4 bears. Go southwest, which will force you up. Small ramp with a bear on your right. On the left 'ledge' above the ramp I believe you can safely bind so you don't have to do the above trickery to get back down here.

At 53, sticking roots on ice giants may be rough and you should likely take the ensnare route, parking them off in the southeast goblin area and gating out, and running back down before they warp or their ensnare breaks.
