Default Any quick-leveling/instant 60 servers out there that are reliable?

Hey all,

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but this forum seems to have more traffic than the PEQ forums do.

I have some toons on p99 that I like for grouping and all that stuff. But do any servers exist that instantly start you out at 60 or something so you can just go explore? Almost like a GM mode? I don't really care about raiding or anything. Just basically having a toon to check stuff out with. I've seen WoW servers do this, but I honestly don't like that game and know nothing about it. Whereas EQ I've been around for years.

Just curious.

You can try the hidden forest, no instant level 60 but it would take you only a few hours of play to get there.

EZserver is pretty good for this too.

Eh EZserver doesn't look that great to me because:

1) multi-boxing is allowed
2) lots of content is changed apparently.

In a perfect world, I'd be looking for something that is the same content as standard EQ (up through whatever expansion-it doesn't matter to me as long as the content is the same as I've played for years) but lets you get to 60 fast just to go check things out.

when it comes to non P99 servers they usually fall into one of two types:

1) massive multi-boxing, easy XP and custom content (THF, EZ , Storm Haven)
2) strict legit progression with no easy lev 60 (Dungeon Crawl, Kildrukaun's Prophecy)

so you can't really have both

Also, if you want "just to go check things out" why do you care for boxers?

The people who invented the first space ships were brilliant. That doesn't mean anybody should actually want to use them 200 years later. Ideas are limited by means of execution. Everquest has amazing ideas that need to be completely reworked in their execution, in order for classic Everquest as it was envisioned to actually exist and continue to be relevant as things have evolved.

EZ means extended zone, not easy. FYI.

your best bet is to just scroll through the server list and hope. some times you will see servers on the list that allow GM commands or limited GM commands. there was a server Irreverant (something like that) that did offer some GM commands.

but you should realize that you are essentially asking for a "Legit, non-Legit" server. sadly i fear you will have a very hard time finding this. as most people that care about boxing will also care about server integrity (which means no GM commands), whereas most people that don't mind allowing players to use GM commands really give 0 shits about boxing.

but thats the great thing about the EQEmulator, if you dont see the server you're looking for, you can start it up, and maybe you'll find a ton of like minded people seeking the same thing as you.

have fun and GL
