bag of the tinkerers are vendor sold in solusek A. Purchased from the gnome vendor in Solusek's Eye for about 5250 pp.

Marfen Binkdirple is the vendor, located at -310, -1090, just to the left of the Gnomish Castle Entrance. He also has a small role in the Bard Epic.

He is flagged as a merchant, and such will not aggro (regardless of faction with clockworks) unless provoked.

P.S. i always thought the little avatar for this bag looked oddly similar to a scrotum, anyone else have any thoughts on that?

Tinker bags have not entered the game yet, i'm pretty sure. Tboots won't come until Mid-Velious.

They are indeed in the game, at least they are on the vendor available to buy. I was messing around down there and decided to check it out just to see. Inside the clockwork fort in SolA there is a vendor in one of the rooms who sells them.

On the link you copy and pasted into your response dude. On page two, about the 6th or 7th reply down he says they've been in the game for awhile now.

This was mentioned in the patch notes when Solro was released and the Box of Abu-kar drops were nerfed. Tinker box has been live since then.
