Wildstar is having an Open Beta at this time as well, if anyone's actually interested in that.

Looks like the OP is quite smug about it. Who cares? The beta will continue with or without you.

If you're expecting a flurry of replies of "ooooh ooooh, pick me to give your beta key to" then Landmark really isn't something that many people are keen to try at the moment.

I keep updated with their videos on YouTube, and its just a bunch of devs fluffing their own nest and riding on the coat tails of the name. We haven't had any proper character pictures released since the Lion King kerrans were announced and they're rightfully scared that it'll sink the beta [You must be logged in to view images. Hopefully they turn it around, but I'm not convinced at the moment... its taking a hell of a long time [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

EQN could be classified as spyware. Landmark is their crowd sourcing effort so that they don't have to make their own zones for EQN.

I like the environment graphics, but player models are horrendous. It'll end up being a wow clone, despite all of the 'tech' they boast about. I'm sure within a year all of those features will be in the other big MMO's.

lol nice pic Swish

Got the same offer about a month ago after signing up last year. I don't even think my comp could run it atm lol, that and two I still haven't even played eq2 outside of the free island thing they set up (that was like 2 years ago) [You must be logged in to view images. sorry i didnt mean to sound smug. if anything my sarcasm was directed at SOE, as this beta invite was really not very exciting to me. i have a feeling that EQN is going to crash and burn, they may as well not call it EQ because the game seems very different from EQ1

i really just wanted to gauge responses to see if i was picked for beta based on my account standing or rather if there was just a sweeping invite that i was lumped into.

and for the record, i still havent participated in the beta to this date.

I'm not quite sure what this post is about but if you want an EQ Landmark Beta key, I have 4.

They announced EverQuest Next before it was even in stable development. Right now they do not even have combat, damage/health, etc etc. They probably do not really have any of the races besides human and that one model for Kerrans. As far as them riding the coat tails of the name EverQuest, most of the big names on EQNext also worked on EverQuest. They're a good group of people. I do not think it's going to crash and burn, but I'm also not expecting them to have a product already ready only 8 months after the announcement like some poeple :/.
