Default Pickpocket question

Searched, but couldn't find anything....

Can giants be pickpocketed?

I tried on Sand Giants, Hill Giants, and giants in FM....nothing but unsuccessful.

I can pickpocket other mob types even higher level then the giants, i.e. guards.

Your human type characters are the only NPCs you can pickpocket nowadays.

Undead/elementals? No.
Animals? No.
Living frogloks? Yes.
Undead frogloks? No.
Drolvargs? No.

Orcs/gnolls/goblins/guards/etc? Yes.

...its weird. I think there was a time before I started my rogue here where nearly anything could be stolen from.

99% sure my list there is right, someone will surely correct me if I've got something wrong [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Giants absolutely should be able to be pick pocketed. If you truly can't on here then a bug report should be filed. Unfortunately, I don't have the play time these days to log in and test this out.

Interesting. I'll check it out when I get a moment. I don't think the pickpocket nerf was implemented correctly. Plane of Growth mobs should be pickpocketable and I have serious doubts as to whether or not it'll be allowed.

Instead of making another pickpocket question thread, I will ask in here.
What are the server rules on pickpocket for p99? Is it on a different table like it was after the first year of Live or is it on an earlier rule table where it takes money away from the group after the mob is dead?

Pick Pocket wasn't on a separate loot table on Live. Pick Pocket has been fixed on P99 and now works very classically as far as I can tell. You can pick pocket humanoid mobs, steal one type of coin or item at a time, and can't take the very last coin of each type that a mob has. More information.
