Arrow Norrathmap.com is looking for beta testers

NorrathMap is an EQ mapping app that lets you see your location within a zone. It is easy to setup, configure, maintain and use. Alpha phase (invite only registration) is over, and Beta phase has started. We'd love for you to give NorrathMap a try. You can get registered and download it here.

Here are some screenshots of it in action:

Here are some questions and answers from the FAQ:

* Is this cheating?

* Is this malicious software?

* Why are you requiring people to register and log in?

Please let me know if you have any questions! And again, you can register and get started here.

No offense but who would be dumb enough to trust running something like this, especially when you're not releasing it under your regular user / character name?

Not saying that you can't give a throw-away email address for registration, but who's to say that whoever is running this thing isn't pulling the location information and viewing it for themselves or their guild?

Hi Bard,

I tried to address these concerns in the following FAQ question which also contains my character's name:
* Is this malicious software?

As for a forum account, I don't forum participate really. If I have extra time, I try to spend it in game and not on the forums.

Thanks for the feedback. I know my answers aren't 100% satisfying, but I'm not sure what else I can do. Best I can say is if you're not comfortable using it, please don't.

Believe it or not, some of the people that play here aren't ban-on-sight status like you and actually care about their account status.

ShowEQ isn't legal to use.

This is.
