Making own server - Could use some help.

I doubt the EQEmu forums get read very often, and was wondering if anyone who has made a server ran into this issue.

"Hey, following this guide well so far. But at step 5, part B. Whenever I do the SVN update it will run fine for a lil bit, then error out and say "The XML responds contains invalid XML".

Ran everything so good so far, and find me getting trouble at basically downloading files kinda hilarious. Even Step 5, Part A worked fine. Any suggestions, or someone calling me an idiot and telling me the obvious thing I'm doing wrong, would be helpful.

Wanting to make a server just to practice my coding and shit, not really make anything playable or anything.

I eventually just "cleaned" it everytime I got the error, and hit update.

Took like 10x longer than it should have but got it done.

Now tryin 2 get peqdb editor working using XAMPP. Which is a whole nother issue lol.

make sure short tags are on in php.

Started this whole thing when I was hammered last night tho, so deleting everything and gonna start over tomorrow on adderall. Sure I'll figure it out then
