![]() Hail, [adventurer]! Have you considered doing the most profitable [quest] of all? Legend has it the eastern commonland dweller has a particular [taste] for those of the female wood elf persuasion. Polishing a few [swords] should earn enough platinum pieces to afford your own!

![]() Follow Zehrikrom's advice, specifically visit Corun Finisc in Surefall and follow his text, asking him [who is destroying them] which will lead to him mentioning his crook. If you ask him 'what about your crook'. He will explain it's been taken and broken in two.
The gnoll hunter in qeynos hills can drop a top or bottom half of a staff when slain, get both halves and return them to Corun for a reward. You may find sharpening a rusty two handed sword will be better dps against a lot of stuff though. If you are adamant to stick in the area you won't be too likely to find players selling equipment suitable for you. This isn't too much of a problem as Qeynos has some pretty decent sources of cash for a newbie. Save up 50pp and visit North Karana to buy a combine weapon from the gypsie camp. This may seem a lot but combine weapons resell to NPCs for about 90% of what they vendor for, so once you get rid of it you'll only be down by around 5 plat.

Speaking of willowisps, if you kill any with your crook in qeynos hills keep hold of the greater light stones. You can give them (one at a time!) to one of the NK gypsies. She will give you a spell research combiner that you can sell for close to 10pp. The XP for this quest is very good too.

![]() If you decide you want to leave the Qeynos area, one place you can try is Kurns Tower. It's a long journey, I'd recommend teaming up with a high level druid; he can port you to the Dreadlands, then you can run with him to Karnors Castle (use spirit of the wolf, levitation and camouflage) for an evacuation to the Emerald Jungle. From there have him escort you to the Field of Bone. He will be able to bind you next to the half elf outside the ruins of Kaesora.
Kurns tower will drop a few low value stat leather/chainmail type items as you level up. What you will really be after, though, is the Iksar Berserker Club that drops from the an Undead Jester. This weapon will last you a long time. Whilst in the area, there is a burynai cutter in Field of Bone that you can track from outside Kurn's Tower. He can drop a Polished Stone Anklet. This is a magic foot item that will allow your kicks to damage magical creatures. I've just remembered another fairly easily acquirable weapon; whilst chilling in the Karanas keep an eye out for the Ghoul Messenger (I think he spawns in the east side of West Karana and moves around close to the path there). Keep refreshing /who whilst in the zone, if you see a player in their 30s (or above) ask them if they will help you kill this ghoul. Take the strategic map of Kithicor it drops to Morin in Kithicor forest to be rewarded with the Short Sword of Morin.
