![]() I have a 56 shaman, and my friend is dangerously close to catching up with his druid. I'd love to duo with him, but I have to admit I've never done a shaman/druid duo before, so I was hoping to get some advice.
Basically I was just hoping others who have done this type of duo before could tell me: A) What different approaches do we have for duoing (I know root/rot is one option, but are there other viable ways)? B) How do we do those approaches most optimally (ie. what are the best zones to hunt in, best spells to cast, etc.)? Thanks in advance.

![]() A shaman would be a nice partner for a Druid down in the bear pits in permafrost.
Druid would charm a pet after you malo. Then slow/dot as needed for all mobs you guys kill.

![]() Whatever you do, take advantage of druid charm, as charming is one of the most effective ways to EXP in the game. I think the big question is whether to try to have one well-buffed, healed-up pet in this kind of duo, or to do the standard solo method where you let your pet die and break charm and kill it when it's almost dead. The former option would seem to give the shaman a lot more to do.

![]() Definitely charm, as being in the group with the shaman, the charmed mob won't take any xp from you. Mobs die so much quicker when they have one of their own beating on them.

![]() Charm bear pits or do kedge with him.
If bear pits: Druid handles all charming. You root and epic DoT stuff. IF fighting giant spiders, or icy terrors, slow those since a Druid can't charm them and you want to make sure they end up dying. Malo is sort of optional since you should be recycling pets. In Kedge: Same as above, Druid charms, you root stuff and epic DoT. Slow and dispell (DS) mermaids cause they hurt. Malo probably worth it here cause breaks are a tad more annoying in water, though as a duo they are easily manageable.

It's all good though, I'll get one one of these days, and in the meantime I really can't complain. An EXTREMELY generous fellow shaman who I met in Sebilis one day just up and gave me the JBB off his back (er wrist), so even without an epic I still feel incredibly lucky. Anyhow, thanks again for the advice.
