![]() I'm surprised there aren't more faction guides for Iksars, and a faction guide for using the firepot room without being KOS.
I have a baby iksar bound in firepot room, and I'd really like to get him non kos in every landing spot-exit of the zones the pots port into, but I can't find very much info. Does anyone want to collaborate on this? Could we use the wiki? or is that only for items/mobs? EDIT: For example, guides will say like "kill orcs, hand in scalps" But it omits there are still several other things that will kill you left in the zone. Also the tactics of factioning, like "it seems scalps are much better faction hits then the orcs themselves, it follows you should get wolf form cast on you and hand in the scalps to aid you in getting non kos sooner. Either way getting non kos then makes hunting slightly safer and easier anyway. Etc.

![]() Well, you can't bind at the firepots anymore which is why I think there isn't more of a demand for a guide like that.
As with anything wiki related though... the wiki is only as good as those who are prepared to put the effort in to make it that way. It couldn't hurt to have a written guide on it. I guess all you need as a starting point is what guard factions are for each city, and what you can do to raise faction in each of those cases (which should be clickable on the wiki).

![]() You have a baby iksar bound at firepots? So you created it years and years ago and haven't touched it at all since? That's pretty impressive.
What would be way easier than doing an insane amount of faction questing would be to buy a couple of these (to recharge as needed) or a bunch of these. I factioned my Iksar monk to be friendly with most city factions on Faydwer just for the hell of it (small thing I am proud of: he is friendly with literally every NPC in Kaladim). It took a huge amount of time and is not something I would recommend doing for any reason other than for its own sake. Kaladim is maybe the easiest, assuming you have sneak (which I'm guessing you don't), because if you just buy up a bunch of bone chips and crushbone belts/pads you can get an invis, sneak behind Gunlok Jure or Canloe Nusback respectively, and do the hand-ins to your heart's content. If you don't have sneak then it's a lot harder since Kaladim is an indoor zone so you can't just get shared wolf form; you'd have to kill a ton of orcs/goblins first.

You are right about needing guard factions, although as I have discovered on Chebazer, even in a small place like highpass there are other factions at play, there's a bunch of random mobs on totally different factions who will murder you for no reason. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] This applies to citys too, there's apparently an easy halfling faction quest that doesn't do the clerics/pallys. Problem is these dudes block the entrance to kith... And no one in those guides suggested a solution. I have since seen that people can submit player made guides to the wiki. So I think I might do that. Trouble is I'm a moron who can barely type out linear coherent sentences. Also I'm scared to go looking for mobs that will kill my newbie char in a otherwise safe zone for obvious reasons... Thanks for the reply!

Ironically I generally don't enjoy playing my non main much so he stayed a young reptile. Kudos to your iskar monk, I am the same, I like getting non kos to weird factions. My main Tobius is totally max to all iksar factions! And nearly max to live frogloks of guk! I can't do hide/sneak, as many can't nor can I FD, I resent wasting money on pots, and feel proud once non kos, so I'd really like to do it, and I know there are a few other weird people like that too, judging from the early days on kunark where many of us non ikkys were seeking to do the bonechip quest for ikky faction. Thanks for bringing to my attention the indoor zones being harder due to no wolf form [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

![]() So the landing spots:
Kelethin: near newbie lift, out of aggro range from guard unless they are chasing a mob towards you. Felwithe: Entrance of North Felwithe. No adds. Neriak: top of ramp in Neriak Commons, near waterfall/PoD. No adds. Halas: at the dock/entrance merchants, usually one guard there. Freeport: in West Freeport at the docks. No adds. Cabilis: in West Cabilis at LoIO zone line. No adds. Kaladim: in South Kaladim at entrance. No adds. Rivervale: at entrance... I use this one the most and I'm forgetting if there are adds there or not... Akanon: at entrance. No adds Grobb: at entrance. No adds Oggok: at entrance. No adds Erudin: at dock. Maybe 1 guard? That's it so far as landing spots go. In every zone there is likely a GM or something that will always be KoS to you. General rule of thumb for factioning, kill the menace that is near their city in a dungeon. Troll - UGuk, live frogs Ogre - CT, lizards Dark Elf - Nektulos, Leatherfoots/Halflings Human - Highpass, Deathfist Orcs Wood Elf/High Elf/Dwarf - CB, Crushbone orcs Halfling - Runnyeye, goblins Gnome - Steamfont, Minotaur. Then there are the quests like CB/Deathfist belts, red wine, bandages etc. If you want to make a more comprehensive guide just check each guards faction in the wiki, check which quests raise those factions and pick the most repeatable ones.

![]() I use: http://samanna.net/gen.info/faction.shtml for factioning on my dark elf. It's a good guide for when everyone hates you...

![]() He said he bound there. I'm skeptical he used a locket when you could still bind there on a monk.
Meaning this is an iksar Necromancer. Which means - IMO - just use Circlet of Shadow and invis through it all. Also means he can't sneak.
