Game Mechanics: Hammer of the Dragonborn

Last I checked on this, clicky is casting at incorrect speed. I believe it is 8s on this server with a 10s recast? Not 100% positive since for whatever reason the beta buff doesn't have a hammer... But the evidences:

Its not a proc. Its a clickable effect with a ~18 second cast time, must be equipped to cast. Buff lasts for 63 minutes. Doesn't stack with Avatar or Agi buffs.

This was changed in a 2005 patch:

The 2/15/05 patch "modified the Hammer of the Dragonborn so that it has an instant casting time, but a 10 second recast."

Modified the Hammer of the Dragonborn so that it has an instant casting time, but a 10 second recast.

So on this server forever, it should have a 10~ second cast time. Should be no recast timer on it.

That one quote says it should be ~18 seconds with no recast. You say it should be 10. Anyone know for sure?

I'm inclined to say 10 since that's what the Velious/Luclin era screenshot shows. All I know for certain is recast timers on clickies are not classic.

Good change. The Lucy database showed 10s from 2002->2005 when the recast timer was added and the Mac database showed 10 as well.

I'm guessing they changed it from 10s cast to instant cast w/ 10s recast on purpose, same number of buffs per minute you just have to devote more time during classic when those stats mattered more VS 2005 when it was more of a "meh" buff.
