Default Putrescent Hearts

I think there's a few people who have completed the first Initiate of Tunare necklace quest, so I'm asking for some advice.

I completed this quest series back on old retail early on during the Velious start. Back then, it was a matter of zooming around Lesser Fay in wolf form camo'd to avoid brownie scouts while using track to find and kill any roaming lowbie Skeletons or Orcs. I avoided pixies and faeries on purpose. I averaged about a heart per hour and was able to kill Ghasts that spawned during daylight hours.

How does it work here? Will roaming lowbie mobs randomly spawn a Ghast with a low chance, or is it set to static undead camps? Will they spawn during daylight hours, or only at night time?

Details how it works on this server would be great. Thanks.

Static spawn at undead pillar just NE of sisters camp. The one closest to the pillar spawns the Ghast pretty frequently. I just did it while camping Sisters, would pop over and clear the undead. Didn't take long at all to get 4 hearts, though they don't always drop it.

May be other spots as well, but that's how I did it.

Night time only, kill the skeletons in the zone to get a chance at ghasts. Pita quest, but yeah, pillar probably best spot for it.
