NPC Spawn Issue: Slansin for Inert Potion Quest (again)

Well after months of being annoyed that I couldn't get this damn quest to work last time I dragged my ass all the way over into Erudin, I went over to try again.

Real Slansin was up. I turned in the potion from Toresian to depop him. Faction hits and depop as he should have. But then trigger phrases wouldn't repop either the real or fake Slansin. And after I waited over 2 hours and tried the phrases again (used both "I study enchantment" and "I wish to assist Toresian"), still no Slansin of either variety.


Is there a bug here still/again, or am I retarded? Here is nilbog specifically saying I should be able to force the spawn of slansin with these trigger phrases and that he should respawn in ~2 hours even without the phrases: http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=73229

I tried collaboration (a couple of times) to try to get higher faction with Toresian to see if that is why talking to him wasn't spawning Slansin, but it was resisted + aggrod Toresian each time. Fortunately it can be cast without LoS so I was standing down at the portal out of the palace with bind sight on Toresian and just zoned out when he started coming at me.

Logged in just now (so... like 6 or more hours since I depopped the real Slansin earlier) and the real Slansin was up again. Turned in potion, he despawned, triggers aren't repopping.

So seems like he is just on a really long spawn, much longer than the 2 hours nilbog thought it was, and that he cannot be spawned early?

Real slansin respawned again by the time I logged on this morning, ~8 hours after the previous one.

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/q...00473769830566 is probably the best post on the topic, but the whole thread of comments from zam is basically full of people saying that they can spawn slansins on demand with the "I study enchantment" phrase, and that you are supposed to be able to keep completing the quest with the real slansin and respawning via trigger phrase until you pop the fake slansin for factioning.

I just tried to do quest, and same result, I killed real Slansin, went up got potion, the fake one spawned, handed in the potion, and he poofed...

Went back up to do it again, and no respawn...waited about an hour, and NOTHING!!!

It's been roughly 24 hours since i've depopped real Slansin. Now, neither is spawning.

This is still broke and it's doing my head in...

Like the only quest to raise FP millitia faction without negative and without needing millitia faction initially. Please fix this!!!
