monk weapons

I am brand new to the server a lvl 9 monk.. Having a blast, but I don't know what weapons to work towards atm.. I know fists are pretty good but what is a good 1hb and 2hb.. Noobie weapon? Any help would be appreciated! Atm using a 6.5 pound 5/28 staff for my 1hb. If there is a site that can help me with this I would love to know it.

Honestly, unless you are able to twink your fists are going to be your best weapons.

Sharkbone warhammers are best until level 31 when your fists become the best weapon you can get until the planes.

Also, not using weapons and just using fists makes it a lot easier to keep below the proper weight

until kunark there aren't alot of options.

a nice freebie item is to hit up a level 44+ mage and get a mod rod from them.

standard newb monk gear is Enamel black mace which are 1hb better than fists until level 30. After 30 just use hands until kunark.

100-150p each... very reachable.

Unless the price has dropped in the very recent weeks, or you happen to get a lucky price, a more accurate bet at getting a EBM would be over 200, closer to 300.

I use two of them at level 20, and am loving it. I am at 14 stones heavy though, so it's true that I can't carry much loot or coin.

I'm rocking the fists (also lvl 9) I got it out of my head that I NEED a weapon. Now Im confident and having a blast!

monks are easy to gear, relatively. No weapons needed.

Make sure to pick up magic gloves so you can hit Zombies and Willowips, which when you get the Greater Lightstones, can sell to the gypsy in NK for about 9pp each. Plus some xp.

but deft get a pair of magic gloves. You'll only hurt yourself if you don't get that.
