Game Mechanics: Borked Mana pool?

Hello Folks,

Ive never played a shaman before, so i started a Troll Shaman and currently shes at lv 5. My problem is this, when ever i sit and regain full mana the moment i sit up the mana falls to where ever the mana counter was last. So i have to stand in order to get full mana and that takes a bit of time.

I though this was part of the Troll Shaman style, but when i asked others if this happened to them they said no. I have a bag full of food so its certainly not that style problem. So anyone of you guys know what that problem might be?

I'm mostly on as Pondlilly Dragonfly(lv 50 Druid) so if you need to contact me thats my main. The Shaman's name is Ashgumm.

Drink affects mana regen while food affects health regen so make sure you aren't out.

It's also likely you're not sitting the entire duration of 6 seconds to receive the server "tick". You'll see the number as a higher value ie: your mana is showing 24 while sitting, you stand up and suddenly it drops to 19. Latency might also be causing you to not receive the "tick" since you need to be synced with the server properly (don't quote me on that).

If none of the above is an issue then you have a more serious problem. Good luck!

Shaman/Cleric/Druids don't get meditate until level 8, you're going to regen mana at the same rate standing as you do sitting until then. (don't forget to find a trainer and train it at level 8 also).

I think you're running into a UI issue. Sometimes my health likes to play havoc on me when I'm liching, each tick my health will drop by like 200hp for a second before jumping back up to where it should be after a tick. Open your inventory screen and you should be able to see your mana. It'll typically jump up a bit and then a second later drop down again but it should settle at a point that's higher then what it was previously.

You trained Med before you should have been able to. Your client thinks you get meditate mana and shows that, but when you stand up the server says "nope, you actually only have y mana". Lvl to 8 and the problem will resolve itself.

My roommate had this problem too and it was because he had a much earlier client where he was able to train med before the proper level, once you hit level 8 and train meditate the problem will be resolved.
