Default Frame drops making kiting impossible

Hi all,

I'm having an issue where, every so often, a second or so of frames will drop. This has the effect of rubberbanding or causing my character to stop in game. It's no big deal, except when kiting. There is no room for error and this has been a tremendous frustration for me so far. I've made corpse run after corpse run after dying to a few dropped frames.

I have an i4790k and a Radeon r9 290. I believe I should have the muscle to handle the game flawlessly. I've tried with the default launcher and the WinEQ2.0 application, and the same error occurs. I have tried in different resolutions, capped frames at 60, shut off environment and battle music (it seemed like if a new environmental track started playing, I would lose frames).

The only additional piece of information I can offer is that I run two monitors, my main at 2560x1440 and my second at 1920x1080. This has caused some strange problems where I have to run the game in windowed mode. Switching to fullscreen produces a black screen where only the cursor is visible.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nazarine
