Game Mechanics: Ice Giants in Permafrost not moving to engage

I ran up and opened the door to the Ice Giant Diplomat, ran back like I was pulling it... Whack whack... nothing, it just stood there, I freaked out thinking it was the lag, but no, gate cast. I interrupted my gate and ran back into melee range to dot it (it's a belly caster), ran back out. It just stood there, no root, no nothing.

I only tested this with the diplomat. Not terribly interested going head to head with that next pull just in case.

Pretty sure the diplomat doesn't move.

I looked him up before I posted, several folks on this page mention rooting him (which was largely futile due to him being a belly caster)

He's probably just wrong. There was a thread in beta where this was discussed and lots of people said he was rooted with no runspeed. Your link, and posts on archived everlore.com state otherwise.

Unless there is evidence that he should be permarooted, I'll fix him for next patch.
