Character delete and name

Hello, this is my first day in Project1999, I played EQ when it started until DaoC came out. I've already done a newbie screw up and turned in my Tomb and now I'm PvP enabled. If I delete the character, will I be able to get my name again when I restart? I was very excited to get my original characters name again I really want to have it.

I just started a week ago, I did this exact thing, because I didn't want to be a half elf.

Yea yea, I know! LOL Funny thing is, in all the time I played EQ originally I never did that, I was bran new to MMO's then too. Now I've been playing MMO's for 16 years and I do it now. I guess I can chop it up to being old now. haha.
