Froglok Escort Ikky Warrior Pike Quest #1 Question

Hey all,

Been hunting the past few days in Swamp of No Hope (SoNH) looking for the froglok escort for the first pike quest. I did some research on where I might find it, but have found some conflicting/very vague reports on locs and such. I've killed just about everything in various newbie areas around the northish part of the zone, but have yet to run into him despite several hours.

Anyone else have trouble with this one? I know all of these Cabalis class quests are hard, but I didn't expect this much trouble from the first one. I need some advice on where to find him exactly and any patterns/trends people saw in spawning him.
