Default EQ question.. Skeletons

Why do skeletons not have nameplates above thier head? why where they exempt fromt he rule?

Just wondering what happened during production that made this a thing.

I think I remember NPC skellies not having name plates but when Kunark came out they all had them maybe? I recall leveling my necro in 2000 not seeing name plates on low level skellies around neriak and qeynos.

It's to give chanters a break in ec.

Role, skelly illusion, if u have epic remove it and u can get something done without chain casting clarity!

This is a fantastic question. Personally, I don't think any players should have nameplates unless they are on your friend list ^^

I am curious, because I have never paid attention to notice, is the same true for other non-playable race illusions such as elementals or werewolves?

I've always had a nameplate in elemental and werewolf, and spirit wolf. Only one I don't is skeleton.
