Default Any merchants sell decent Barbarian Shaman gear for a level 18?

I know I can buy stuff if I find someone selling armor, but..

I actually enjoy saving up and finding a merchant that sells Barbarian Shaman armor. That is if there are any merchants that sell decent armor for a Shaman. Is there a good place to go at level 18 to find stuff for sale?

I guess I could try Halas. I haven't been there in a while.

You can buy ringmail from merchants; that's about as good as it'll get, I think. It's better to get banded (I think same AC but less weight, might be more AC for some pieces, though), which you can buy from players or craft yourself. Once you get to around 30, you can quest yourself a set of totemic armor.

Do you know what cities sell ring mail? Would it be Halas for me?

I saw some ring mail inside the smithing building in Halas. All of the items were around 50-200pp a piece... if I remember correctly

You should really pick up a set of banded.

If you are trying to avoid buying from players you make it with only merchant-sold items. Of course you'll have to skill it up first but I'm thinking you could do so for less than you'd pay for chain mail off merchants, and blacksmithing is a handy skill.

Otherwise buy a set in the EC tunnel for 85-90pp
