![]() Alright so I'm posting this here in hope that someone can make sense of this for me. I apologize if this isn't the place.
My character's story is really important to me and I really like to immerse myself in his potential philosophies and values. With that said, I currently play a 51 DE CLR on blue. If I could have picked agnostic, I would have, but since I'm a cleric, we're forced to pick Innoruuk, the PRINCE OF HATE. HATE. So like, why would I heal someone if I hate everyone? I keep trying to come up with a clever lore explanation but I can't. Can anyone shed some perspective on potential philosophies for clerics of innoruuk? I need something to base a story for my character off, but being a healer who hates everyone just isn't clicking with me, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't considering re-rolling as a result (its already turning me into an altoholic). It's insane, I know, but like I said this stuff is important to me. Thanks for reading <3 | ||

![]() I'm thinking something along the lines of a catholic priest that used to touch choir boys.

![]() Chances are you hate whoever you're healing, but for one reason or another it's in your greater interest to keep said person alive.

![]() You want to keep everyone alive so the zones are overcrowded and people bicker and fight over the limited numbers of camps and mobs... the hate and anger fuels your manabar for more heals!!

![]() You heal them to prolong their suffering. At least that's how the great Swit N`wah does it in Innoruuk's Glorious Name.

![]() You understand that for hatred to rule, there must be people to hate. How can hate exist when there are no beings to harbor such feelings? You actually have greater perspective than the being you worship and understand that to truly increase his domain and power you must keep alive those that have the capacity to hate.

your cleric could be pragmatic in the sense that he's not a great fighter but has aptitude to aid those who are and does so because it allows him to accomplish his goals. kind of like how the Catholics would bend over backwards to justify whatever molestation or crusade was going on at the time. i mean there's your hook, maybe he wanted to be a necromancer or a shadowknight but couldn't make the cut so had to resound himself to be a healer and being forced in such a paltry role has allowed his hatred to grow and grow and grow and that hatred fuels the otherwise benevolent magic you use on your quest to KILL FUCKING EVERYTHING
