Default Swamp of no hope at level 4

It's really not bad. Field of bone is super overcrowded and I feel lake of ill omen has a bad exp mod. Give it a shot, it's actually a pretty good alternative I found out today for some casual soloing without fighting for kills.

Careful of the Froglok Gaz Shaman who patrols near the Cabilis area occasionally. Nasty surprise he was at 6 ...

I'd agree, although it doesn't support many lowbies hunting safely. I was there for a quest for my monk and wound up staying a bit longer just because it was good hunting once I got the hang of the place.

Too many bad dudes around the newbie area. I think the pathing might be super fucked up.

Yeah, I saw that giant leach blood gorge pathing through the level 1 area (that is just meant to be the very easiest mobs).

I don't think the spawn locs or pathing are quite classic in sonh.

Think Lake of Ill Omen newbie area is fairly decent too, specially for those odd levels in FOB where everything is either too low or too high.

Got taken out by some high level mobs at level 3... scraped my body off the ground and went running back into Cabilis with my tail between my legs.

That's a dangerous zone for sure. It's a shame for those who are persistent that they can't change their bind point to the zone in... having to run through the city each time just makes you want to go back to Field of Bone [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Pathing might be messed up, or they just decided to have high levels path through the newbie area. Like putting SG's in Oasis, mean, mean devs.

Eventually I will start an Iksar and try out all 4 of the newbie zones.

I don't have anything like perfect recall of the old days but I'm pretty sure it was always sort of dangerous in the SoNH newbie yard. That mixing of levels is part of what really makes this game work for me. It's an unfair world.
