New P99 server?

Greetings,

I am just curious - has there been any official info released if there are plans for a new p99 server after velious opens?

Ah ok. Well I am currently on the new progression server but would gladly play a new p99 server over it. Neither are the same as classic, but p99 sure is the closest 2nd. My only qualm is that it is so established on the top end, I fear that if I invested the time to get there I would not be able to play the content. Is that a valid fear or is it not really as bad as they say? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Explain what you want to do at the top end that you fear you cannot do on P99?

Group at Fungi King, Seb Crypt, HS East/South, Seb Juggs/Prot/Jumpy? Cause you can most certainly do all of those things.

If your view of top end involves raiding, you can definitely do PoFear/Hate/Sky weekly in most any raid guild here.

If you want to kill Dragons/Gods, if you join one of the 6-7 guilds who do that you certainly can or if you want to recruit 50-60 of your closest friends and make your own guild that works too. Howeve you definitely won't be able to see Nagafen up at 1PM and wait until 8PM to kill him. That being said, this new server won't have the luxury either.

Any P99 server you will likely have to deal with raid mobs that can spawn between 6PM and 10AM the next day. Many times they will be spawning when you're at work or asleep. That's just how it goes in this community. Until they make a casual server with a raid rotation and no variance.

Are you sure you will be able to play end game on TLP? Wasn't up a week and the dragons and gods started being downed.

Well actually I have powered with both guilds that killed the dragons in the first 3 days. The Rush was fun, but killing nagafen with a mage army < lvl 40 isn't quite the same as having to level a balanced raid group, equipping them via quests and dungeons and then skillfully battling Nagafen, Vox and Phinny.

But yes I would like to be able to camp those mobs you mentioned - when i was on p99 for about a month, a high end guild member that I friended, told me kunark was locked down until velious at best. And that the mobs like fungi, etc. we're permacamped.

I didn't quite make it to lvl 30, so I had no way of personally verifying how they were camped.
