Hi guys, I am interested in joining up with the project 1999 community but had a couple questions. I have done a lot of reading on the boards and this server seems great but was just wondering exactly how far along the server is as far as content. Velious? Kunark? Still Classic? What is the general population of the server? Will there be enough people at lower levels to group with or will i be stuck trying to solo to 50? Hows the raiding? Is there a crazy overpopulation or underpopulation of any particular classes? I miss classic EQ and would love to start playing in my spare time again. Thanks guys hope to see you all in-game soon.

The server is still on classic. Here's the thread on how Kunark's coming along :-

Server pop is really good, people of every level running around, if anything it seems alil crowded atm waiting on Kunark to come out~

Theres a handful of fulltime raid guilds, Blackwater host PuGs frequently that from my understanding go off without a hitch...

And everyone seems to have a mage even if its not there main, I always see mages running around~

Server population is pretty good, it can be a little tricky to get a group at times. Most if not all people are friendly, some I met got a severe case of know-it-all becuase they played for one year between 2003-2004 and compare that experience with this one. Needless to say it is a big difference.

There are quite a few twinks around, way more than way-back-when and the prices are pretty dang high. But all in all it is a good albeit somewhat masochistic experience!

You should check out my "Uncertainty" post that I just bumped. It would be cool to get a group together for leveling sometime. I just started, too (I haven't even made my character yet). I'll reply again when I have named character for you to contact.
