Default Client Closing Down

I've been trying to get the client to load but it's not working for me. I log on normal and right before it goes to the character select screen it goes back to the login screen. Anyone seen this issue before?

Change any resolution settings recently?

I had a problem that was similar to what you're describing; lowering the resolution that EQ loaded up into helped ix it.

Are you playing on a public/work connection or have you changed providers recently? Some places block certain ports to stop people playing games and hogging bandwidth (not that anyone should be concerned about EQ of course).

I tried getting EQ running at my uni library a couple of years ago and something similar to what you're describing happened.

Other things to try if its a private/home connection. Disable your firewall (close your browser too), and see if it'll connect without that running. Also if you're running on a wireless connection, plug an ethernet cable in... or copy your EQ directory to someone's laptop to rule it out being something on your computer.

Default still having issues with this

I got it to work by lowering the colors and now it doesn't work again sigh. I had GTX 980 video cards and recently switched to Titan X in SLI. If you have these video cards and got it to work pls share on what you did to get it working. Thanks.

Default Fixed Update

I wanted to update this because it was a strange problem and someone else might run into the same issue. I know I might be the only one that flash video cards here but just in case. I was getting close to showing my PC the real windows operating system.

Here is what I did to break it, I didn't realize this caused it until I got it fixed.
I flashed the titans with hydro copper from the superclocked version of the evga cards

Here is what I did to fix it.
-tried many different resolutions/colors - did not work
-tried updating the network cards and even used a different card because I was getting a connection error on the eqlogs and thought it was related - did not work
-tried running it as admin - did not work
-tried completely removing the NVidia drivers using guru3d display port uninstall and reinstalled the drivers - did not work
-tried many other things - did not work

Here is what I did to fix it.
flashed the cards back to superclocked and then rebooted/reinstalled the drivers then tried it and it worked! I flashed the cards back to hydro copper and it continued to work.

Not sure why this worked but it did, maybe something got corrupted when the hydro copper drivers got installed the first time?.
