Default Help - making two accounts, two people, same computer.

So i have a pretty new account and got a n00b on p99 server. My friend wants to make an account, play on p99, except the same computer or IP address or whatever. Will that be an issue? Has this question been answered already? Please help, not sure if this is the correct forum for this.

You should really read the FAQ in the library section.

But let me save you some time (read the faq anyway)

Can I play with my roommate/family member? It says there is only one account per IP allowed.
You certainly can. Just make a thread in the petition/bug subforum stating who you want to play with and other relevant information. Just be aware that if you're caught 2boxing or otherwise controlling both accounts at once, it will result in an immediate ban of both accounts.

If it's the same computer you won't need an IP exemption, as you both cannot be playing at the same time anyway (not realistically at least) IAll your friend will need to do is sign up for an account at the main emu location.

if there is a secondary computer so you could both be playing at the same time, from the same local network, then you would need to look into getting the IP examption.

You can have two accounts being played on the same computer...but not at the same time.

What if one computer had two mice and two keyboards and each person were to control one character?

Is it possible to have 2 independent mouse pointers? I thought they always just fought each other...

Not possible, Windoze will control the same mouse pointer with 2 mice (I know because I have a wireless and a wired mouse and whichever one I reach for controls the pointer...) Dunno about keyboards but they'd probably be the same, it'd still be as if you had one keyboard.

Get another computer!

Mg
