Ranger Weaponry
Is Woodsman's Staff still the best thing you can get pre-epic in the 50s?
If not, I'm looking for replacement weapons. I've got about 25k to spend. Or should I just save up for RBB until I get epic? | ||

Exquisite Velium Battle Axe and the Claidhmore have basically the same ratio as the woodsman if you don't mind spending a bunch extra for them or if not using retarded 2hb animation is important to you.
Otherwise, probably better just saving for the RBB and using Woodsman.

In pure min/max, you will not outperform woodsman's staff with Kunark gear, unless you get swiftwind.
That being said, wurmslayer + green jade axe is good enough. You could also swap wurmslayer with lupine dagger pre-56 for the atk buff of greater wolf form. It also depends what you fight. The very high ac mobs in Velious make fast dual wield weapons better. Wurmslayer and woodsman's staff would be terrible on Kael raid mobs for instance. On a totally subjective note, I loved my wurmslayer while leveling up. | ||
