Game Mechanics: Double death Exp penalty in Neriak

Good day sirs, I am Fearfactory a 54 necro currently having some fun in this hell level. I have had hard progress this level, getting unlucky at times, which culminated in a recent death trying to camp the sisters in Neriak.

In every other zone I have died in during this hell level ( BW, DL, Droga, etc) I lost about 1.5 blues, and got nearly as much back from a 90% rez. Working as intended.

However, during my journey into Neriak, my misfortune resulting in my death took me from 1 yellow in (5 blues), all the way down to 2 blues. There was no funny business about how I died, was from a simple melee hit. This would seem to be a double penalty, since I received another 90% rez but that only brought back almost half of what I lost.

I'm not sure if you guys can see how much exp was gained or lost but I figured it was something to look into, and if you can't get back that exp for me, at least maybe the next guy won't have this problem.

Can the amount of XP loss per death even be coded to vary by zone? Perhaps it was a UI bug? It's best to hover your cursor over the bar and check the % xp before and after, then you can get an accurate count.
