My introduction.

Hello everyone,

I'm totally new to EverQuest and just quite recently found out about Project 1999 (and instantly went on over to eBay and bid on an EQ Titanium Edition =P), so I thought I'd come say hi and ask a few questions while at it.

My MMO history is quite sparse; I've only played two MMOs during my whole life-time of 27 years; first it was WoW starting from the TBC launch, and I didn't even raid actively until the Mists of Pandaria -expansion. After that I started fiddling around with TESO and have been at it ever since. As I completely skipped WoW vanilla in retail, I thought it would be a good idea to try out a well populated private vanilla server with no donation-to-win gates to experience the game in it's original state, and was not disappointed. And that's pretty much how I came to decide that, when it comes to EQ, it'd be better for me to try out P1999 instead of the retail progression servers since this appears to be much more legit and also quite very popular.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to different servers play out; I get the difference between a PVE and PVP server, but I'm just wondering what the deal with the Discord server is? Is it down only termporarily, and is it a PVP or a PVE server, and most importantly: what expansions are currently unlocked? I would be interested in starting out with the earliest content possible.
