seems I remember having to fear these guys wondering into you in the desert at lower levels. I was medding with the gf after a fight and I see a madman walk up and I was like "RUN!!!" and took off. my gf said "why?!" as the madman walked right past us. He conned yellow at the time.

Thought these guys were supposed to be aggro as hell?

What zone were you in? They were aggro in Oasis last time I was there.

They do have a faction - KOS to me in Oasis but Dubious in Erud's Crossing...

Someone on these forums claimed they were on Quellious faction. Can't be arsed to find it, though.

Madmen weren't kos to everyone all the time, and it was zone-dependent. Many race/class combos were dubious to them, which I remember was a huge advantage, especially if one of the wizard madmen catches you off-guard.

Madmen are non-aggro

DESERT Madmen are.

In Ro there are madmen, non kos. In oasis there are desert madmen, kos.
