Thinkin of starting on Blue

Hey everybody,

I was a druid main in EQ past, and on Red and I'm looking for an MMO to play again. I'm thinking I may start on blue server so I don't have to worried about being PKed and I'm wondering what classes are needed or useful late game in Velious, considering the server population?

Cleric would be the easy answer here. There's no such thing as too many clerics and just about every raiding guild on the server makes special accommodations for them with their recruitment (as an example, Taken's level requirement for all classes is 55 with the exception of clerics at 50).

I'd say check out Empire's recruitment page (I'd also suggest Rampage's too, but a quick glance didn't bring up any "top priorities" for them). Empire is the top raiding guild on red99, and while their server demographics may be skewed because it's a pvp server, it's still probably reflective of what classes are in demand for high end Velious content.

EDIT: Taking a closer look at Empire's recruitment page: druids and shaman are two of their priority classes, where I'd say they're completely saturated here on blue. Flip them with warriors and rogues and it's probably accurate for us here on blue.

Were you in Thunderdome on red?

Short answer for blue is very much "play what you enjoy" - most casual guilds at least don't cap applicants from certain classes. Even the tryhard "casual" guilds like Taken or other such guilds never close recruitment.

If you want to go full immersion, I think raid clerics are forever in demand (on both servers).
