Default Reoccurring Amnesia a detrimental spell?

I used this spell twice in lguk, both times the mob forgot about me (I was dubious with no faction adjustments). Both times the mob came back with friends after he entered their "social" range.

I'm not 100% sure if the other mobs reacted to the buff as detrimental and social aggroed or if one of the ticks failed a MR check and turned him back as aggressive. But both times he wandered off before the spell had finished its four ticks.

Quote:
The 4 ticks is how long the mob's mind is cleared, if it failed its save vs. Magic. If it makes its save, it has a chance of coming after you because you attacked it with the spell.

Actually because the spell is listed as beneficial it will not aggro the mob, nor is it possible to resist it. The spell will always land, but it may not mem blur the mob, just a 25% chance every tick.
^ This is how I expected it to work.

I will no longer use this spell *ever* if it generates social aggro, even after the mob has forgotten me.

It did work. It conned dubious and walked away. Social aggro (or resist aggro, then social?) occurred "before" the spell had worn off.
