Default focus effect item

This was briefly mentioned in this thread
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...t=focus+effect
but I could not locate any threads specifically about this topic.

Were all the focus effects added to the old world item around the time of Luclin? Or were any of these effects added to items beforehand?

Since most of the items I looked up seem to have had the focus effects added in 2002, I'm guessing the same will go for all the rest but I just wanted to be sure and can't find the answer online. Closest I could find was that in June of 2002, focus item effects were fixed...

To clarify, I'm specifically referring to items such as:

Glowing Bone Collar
Batfang Headband
Wolf Fur Slippers
Bear-hide Boots

etc...

There's a whole slew of them that were upgraded but I just wasn't sure when.

Right, I figured those must be classic. Thanks.

Thanks for the confirmation, I just wanted to be sure. Otherwise I would start hoarding some of these items for future use. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I thought SolRo introduced focus effects, seeing as how alotta old school item snaps have effects in the snaps as well.

I'm not aware of anything besides pet foci and flowing thought items, prior to Luclin.

I had lists of focus items when I was making the loot classic again. TONS of things from classic and kunark had superfluous effects added to them later. Here is a sample list http://everquest.allakhazam.com/story.html?story=951

That's exactly what I was looking for but couldn't seem to find it.

So June '02 was the date all the items were upgraded as I suspected.

Thanks Nilbog! (and everyone else)

I don't recall any item having flowing thought before luclin. Which are you talking about?
