Best part out of this whole incident is no innocent people were hurt. What type of religion produces that type of mental illness? The kind that is a majority religion in 40 countries, none of which are democratic or have minority, gay, or women's rights. There is a strong argument that nations like Iran and Egypt were more advanced in 600 AD than they are today. There's an even stronger argument that said nations were more culturally advanced in the 1960's before salafism became popular. Prior to this idiocy, Muslims were still deeply religious, but at least Islam wasn't 100% of life. Today, that isn't the case, and if you were going to take any religion to its logical conclusion, Islam is probably the worst

Yes, Afghanistan is notorious for this. US troops are told to look the other way, that and of the drug farms they have. The families of these children (often younger than 14) are paid for their services, to the children and their families, and dream of one day having children do this for them when they get older and have some wealth. It's considered culturally acceptable. It's one of the main reason that got me to say WTF are we doing there?!?
