Default Mac Users

Hello.

My friend would like to play but he asked me if this would work on his mac laptop.

Would it? How would we instal it to a mac? Is there a step by step I missed? Can we just follow the normal setup guide?

Thanks.

I play Titanium EQ on a LINUX box with WINE, so a Mac should be able to? Minor code change to get models working but thats easy to find on the net...

Edit: Found this -> http://davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/

I'm trying to get WINE set up and EQ installed with it. Can you describe what this "minor" code change is regarding models? Or point me to a link?

I get to running the installation for EQ through WINE and it keeps giving me the error "You cannot install to the Windows directory. Please select another location." even though I am specifying other directories. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I use crossover games to run EQ while in MacOSX. The only strange problem I've run into is when it starts to rain in a zone it will make my client crash and I wont be able to log that character back in until the raining stops.

Now I've mostly been playing on a 50GB bootcamp partition under Win7.

So what I did was copy over the Everquest directory from my PC onto my mactop. I then ran the wine command from terminal "wine eqgame.exe patchme", and it worked like a charm.
